Audi vs. Subaru sales

"But the glitches (big and small) make my Audi
incredibly !*$@~ frustrating the rest of the time"

hmmm, it's comments like this that baffle me... ...I mean, sure light bulbs
are gonna burn out, and brake pads will wear out...but I have yet to come
across a problem that's been unsolvable with any VW/Audi product.

Yeah, things will go wrong. It's a car. Engineered by humans. It's not going
to be perfect.

If someone should be that frustrated with anything, maybe it's time to look
at alternatives. Maybe it's time for a new mechanic/dealer. Maybe it's time
to do some reading and improve your knowledge of your particular
automobile... ...maybe you should buy another car and come to the
realization that those "little glitches" were nothing compared to the crap
other manufacturers are making.

Really, when you break it down, is it the engine that's always blowing up,
or is it things like alternators, or ISVs not functioning?(which would
really be Bosch's fault, now wouldn't it).

I stand by VW/Audi because they make some pretty dam fine cars for the
money. Cars that will put up with anything I put them through and keep
asking for more. Cars that will put a smile on my face everytime. Cars that
were engineered for people who like to drive...

(I don't want to start a flame war here, I'm just expressing my thoughts and
experiences with particular cars that I've owned and raced...)

Now, I may be a different breed of people. When I hear a 'clunking' sound
coming from the front end, or any other type of "something isn't right...",
I get excited, because I think working on my car is almost as fun as diving
it.

call me crazy.

...then I could go into this whole 'preventative maintenance' thing, that
others ignore and only deal with things as they break... ...but I gotta go
to work now...

sorry for being pissy, it's Monday.

Amen, brother.

After test driving both mfr's products I can say the Outback can't compare
as a driving machine. But the glitches (big and small) make my Audi
incredibly !*$@~ frustrating the rest of the time.
