No, they are NOT going to fix it!

Well guys, we can hope for better engineering all we want, but I rather
doubt that Audi is going to dust off Team Doorhandle and tell them "You
guys screwed up - design a decent door handle for all the type 44s still
floating around out there!"

Audi's answer is to advise us to buy a new car, and we won't have that
(particular) problem any more. (Instead, we'll have new, just as stupid
problems.) Audi isn't alone in this - how about Winblows? Answer to all
problems is to upgrade, and you won't have that problem any more, just a
slew of new ones instead. Fortunately, the newest version of Windows is
currently less expensive than a new Audi . . .

Audi isn't the only manufacturer guilty of this. In 1970, I had a 1967
Dodge window van. A window latch broke (one of the side windows), and the
response from the biggest Dodge dealer in Miami was "You really ought to
buy a new truck, son!" Had almost 35,000 miles on it, musta been plumb wore
out!

Personally, I'll put up with the idiosyncracies and avoid a $450 a month
car payment. Do you know how much hand cleaner I can buy for $450 x 60
months? ($27,000)

Best Regards,
