I must say though, I've owned mostly Vw's, and I have experienced more
dependability in them then any other cars I've owned.  I put nothing but
after market parts on my 1986 Golf, and at 230,000 miles, I got $400 more
when I sold it, then what I paid for it 3 years earlier, with only 180k.  I
changed my oil maybe 4 times in 3 years, and it still runs great.
