Bruce Anderson, who writes a lot of articles for various Porsche related 
magazines, recommends when buying a Porsche to by the newest one in the 
series that you can afford.  I tend to agree with his rational - about the 
time most manufacturers get the defects removed from a particular vehicle 
model, they discontinue it and start all over again with a new set of 
problems.  My 91 2CTQ is noticeably a better car in every respect than our 87 
5KTQ.
