My plans for a better cornering '90 80q

Going to a wider wheel (at least 7" preferably 7.5" for the tire size
you've selected) will also improve things. You will notice quicker
response and a slight improvement in grip going to the 15's, a somewhat
less noticeably improved response but significantly reduced roll with the
new springs. Would suggest getting the complete spring/shock/anti-roll
bar package, as they all work together, and the designed package
components (such as Eibach's, if it's availible for your car) are truely
designed to work well together. They generally work much better than
anything you can design and put together yourself, unless you are into
suspension design. And they've tested everything out together to get the
best package, something you're unlikely to be able to afford to do.
Note, if you do the springs and wheels and anti-sway bars, you will move
up into the Street-Prepared class in SCCA Solo 2 auto-X'ing.
