Michelin Arctic Alpins

More common and greater severity of storms and storm systems seem to
correlate well with the increase average yearly air temperature (a.k.a.
Global Warming) over the last 150 years or so. The funny part is this
correlate well with the increase of Carbon Dioxide in the air over the
same time period (can you infer, Industrial Revelution?). This means the
world, as a whole, will likely suffer greater losses due to weather
related events as the overall air temperature has increased over some
previously unknown threshold. Some of us (witness our friends in the UK,
and my parent's home and poor GTi) have been the receipients of nature's
fury this year, so the point has been driven home a little further than
before. There is something to be said for reducing emissions in new car
designs and making sure our Audi's are running correctly (MAC) to
minimize their tailpipe emissions. I would expect that this trend will
continue unless the Global Warming trend reverses, whether that will be a
natural phenomenon or a human driven one remains to be seen. Do note,
however, the worldwide reduction in the use of CFC's has successfully
reversed the trend of the destruction of the ozone layer over the Earth's
magnetic poles. So, maybe we can do something....
