A newbie question about Audi A6 with the V8

You're not gonna get there with a chip (alone). You need to take the more
traditional approaches to performance enhancements first, and then consider
a custom chip (from a good chip writer) that'll take advantage of your
modifications. Unfortunately, upgrading a non-turbo Audi for power will be
far more expensive than a turbo. :-(

Consider changing the cam, upgrading the exhaust, upgrading the intake,
over-bore, etc. Since the S6 and S8 use the same engine with no blower, I'd
be interested to know what they did, because you can do that too.

I'd heard rumor -- on this list? -- that someone has a supercharger kit for
the 4.2. That would be my personal choice. A supercharger would be really
killer. :-)
