[The Quattro King]

Tonight while Todd Phenneger (red with black hood 1984 4ktsq and up and
coming 1983 black ur-q) was working at Sears, his 4ktsq was broken into.
This happened in Spokane WA at the north Sears around 19:30 in a parking
structure.  His Alpine CD player, 4 Boston speakers and about $500 in other
things were taken from the car (total of about $1000 + damage to the car).
His dash and glass were totally thrashed not to mention other parts of the
interior.  Thank goodness he put full coverage on his car yesterday.  He is
not sure however if they will cover the contents of the car.  With any luck
and police report in hand they will.

This unfortunately is not the worst of it.  In the car was his backpack.  In
the pack was a daily planner which had credit cards, SS card, all his
certifications but worst of all every business card, phone number, contact,
address he had ever collected.  Potential employers, list members, parts
houses, friends, family and so on were part of these numbers.

So you can cancel the credit cards and get a new SS card.  You can not
however replace the information which he had collected for over 5 years.
So, I implore the list to help out.  I would like to start a small fund to
buy Todd a Palm Pilot or some other such device to help him re-accrue his
lost information.  Should he ever have the Palm stolen he would have a
backup of this on his computer.  IE, never loose his information.  My
thought may be idealistic, but if we all pitch in $5 or $10 we could help
him out.  I estimate the purchase price of such a device would cost about
$200.  

I would make this promise that if you folks are kind enough to help out and
I get more $$ then the amount of the Palm, I will either pass the extra $$
on to Todd to help cover the costs (assuming the insurance does not cover
the stolen items and damage to the car).  Or, if the insurance does cover
the costs of the stolen items and damage to the car I will send the extra $$
to the list meisters for the NW list and the main list (the two lists I am
posting this on) to help cover costs of the lists.

So, please help Todd out.  He is a great guy who is one of the most generous
people I know.
