"We the people" acknowledge receipt of your "Notice to Revoke our
Independence" and give you our "Top 10 reasons" why we must respectfully
decline your overture, err takeover:

10.  We would all be dead within 2 weeks of initiation of driving on the
left rules.
9.  100% of us know The British Crown tried the revocation of
independence thing
    once, no twice, before with less than satisfactory outcomes for you.
8.  We're just not ready for a Leader named "Tony".  Now, if he were
named "Al", that
    might be an offer we couldn't refuse.
7.  Canada is "your" problem, and quite frankly we find them a most
engaging group of
    folks.  
    However, if you are hell bent to reestablish "The Empire" and need
help undermining
    yet another government (larger than Los Malvinas), please address
your inquiry
    (oops, sorry, enquiry) to a guy that needs to put a new "spin" on
his legacy:

    But hurry, time is running out.
6.  We have no desire to be taxed into oblivion.
5.  The cost of reprinting dictionaries and changing to metric system is
prohibitive.

3.  If you "absorb" us, you won't have anyone to poke fun at.
2.  Swansea, Wales.  Thank you but our own DMVs' are pain and suffering
enough.
1.  We're cranky enough w/the BS that's going on.  "Merde" stirring will
only piss us
    off more than we already are.  I refer you to point 9 above just in
case you
    already forgot.
