ICV/ISV

Hi folks -

Several people suggested that I try pulling the plug on the ICV/ISV on my 86
4kq to see if that was the problem. Well, I pulled the plug and it made no
difference in the idle, still bouncing between 1500 and 1800, then soaring
up to 4000.

Seems to me that if it was working, pulling the plug on it would make some
sort of difference. Is my thinking correct or have I wandered off in the
wrong direction on this?
