I was wondering about this. No problem there, I think its pretty obvious
when your headlight burns out. I may have to bypass the autocheck if the
relays don't draw enough..I guess I'll find out.
Here's the plan so far:
+ feed will come off the jumper post with 10 guage wire and feed all four
relays - I will use a marine grade terminal strip with fuses to distribute
to each relay.
Relays will be located near the terminal strip, not inside the car. This is
to keep wiring runs short, and simplify the wiring. I will protect the
relays with some sort of splash guard/cover, in an easily accesible place,
so they can be replaced easily.
I have an assortment of relays, some combo ones. I wonder if any of the
dual-relays I might have will do the trick. I still have all of the ones
available on the 4000 parts car, so I may be able to get creative.
I will find several good ground points.
The Lights also have a ground point on them, I think and will verify with
multi-meter.
I'll consult with Robs link for aiming:

Thanks for all of the good suggestions and replys.
Ben

If this is done correctly with 4 relays you will not need to modify the
Autocheck system as it will assume the 4 relay coils are light bulbs....
however it wont tell you when the bulbs go... just when/if the relay coil
dies..
