Hmm, I think you are misinterpreting what I am implying the Tors*n is
doing. Don't know how long you have been on the list for, but I will not be
responsible for starting a Tors*n thread...

I'm sure you're having a great time but.... A Torsen does not work this way.
It is always active and doesn't require any time to "start distributing
power".
What you are discribing is probably caused by some other transient in the
chassis. On the other hand, if you owned a Subaru with a viscous coupling...
