Precisely why two weeks ago, I purchased a mint condition,
1987 Audi 4000S. 4 cylinder economy, automatic transmission,
timeless Giugiaro styling, all service records, and get
this, EVERY switch and light works, and the A/C blows cold!
All for the princely sum of $2200. I know this is top dollar
for this car, typically, but like I said the car is
flawless. Even the trunk looks new.
This car is for my Mom, who had a stroke a couple of years
ago. She is 95% recovered. The last thing she needs is
another thing to think about when she is driving, which
would be clutching/shifting etc. This will be a "go to the
store" car only, so it should be perfect. For long trips,
they will take my father's soon to be delivered 2001 A4
1.8TQ, Silver/Black, Sport suspension. (Which, hopefully, I
can purloin for peanuts in a few years!)
My mom's 1998 Jetta 5 spd is now for sale.
