Drive Shaft Removal

As a busy law student, I've only been able to work on my '87 4kcsq
intermittently. For the past few weeks, I've had my car on jack stands
while I try to change the CV boots.

I've had a few problems, the last of which had me stalled for a while.
The ball joint was stuck and needed a little whack to loosen. I finally
got the control arm down.

Now, in trying to remove the drive shaft I'm having more trouble. It
seems the loctite used to secure the shaft is a bit stronger than I am.
The Bentley shows the use of a puller which looks like it would easily do
the job. Unfortunately, I am not so blessed as to have a puller. If
someone can show me an inexpensive model, I'll take it.

In lieu of a puller, does anybody have any suggestion for drive shaft
removal? Is there a chemical which will make the loctite dissolve?
