If the arrangement is the same as the 5K/200 (the list will confirm
this I am sure)  I would recommend getting the inner boot kit (~$13).  
You can avoid removing the external CV joint by:

a.  Remove the entire shaft from the car (make sure you have the gasket 
    where the inner joint mates to the gearbox.

b.  Remove the internal CV (single circlip) may need to press or drive
    off with a drift.

c.  Slip both internal external boots off the driveshaft

d.  Reverse c. through a.

Heat will fix loctite but it is not very nice to your CV unfortunately.
