Hi, LT. Welcome back to the list! I'm the only other '88 90Q driver on
base, so you KNOW who I am!

Subject: 90q knock sensor/ignition switch
Hi all,
I have a 1988 90q with its check engine light on.
Computer says it's the knock sensor - fine. But I've
also been having this problem lately where maybe once
in every 10 startups the engine runs but the lights,
turn signals, blower motor, etc. don't work. That
seems to be an ignition switch problem. So here's the
question: since the knock sensor is connected to the
ignition wires, could the two problems be related? Or,
how difficult is it to change a knock sensor, and
where can I get one?
Thanks in advance,
Tracy
