It needed headgaskets and calipers - but was well worth the 3000$ he paid for 
it!  It's a wonderful car.  My old mechanic bought a 1986 Coupe GT, the twin 
of my car, for 1$.  No shit.  It needed a new dash, pricey, but again, well 
worth it.
