starter noise

Recommendation to anyone who has a starter making noise after letting
off on the key... pull your starter and lube the shaft thoroughly...
Trust me your starter WILL last a lot longer...

By the way, the starter, I think, makes a gronk-gronk noise just after the 
engine catches. Any thoughts?
