BTDT. The only issue is that on-the-fly is tough for a slow machine like
the one Dan has. If there are 50 people doing browsing, it'll kill it, not
to mention that it has to serve up web pages, do searches in the archives,
and most of all, send the mail out to everyone.
So, I've done caching with PHP, but it just gets stupid and messy
overall. I've used a system like BLORP from the Winamp dudes, but it's
unfinished. I'll polish it then do what I was telling Huw, which was
integrate the gallery with the registry.
Then you can browse the registry to find listers in your area, or you can
go through the gallery and look at all the cars -- all crosslinked. Nice.
