That's what I was trying to explain. WR and KG won't run correctly on 92
RON fuel. But all cars sold in the USA are required to. So WR and KG (and a
number of N/A engines) had to be detuned to accept lower octane fuel.
That's why WX and KH have lower output.
Later engines with knock control (MC,MB,1B,NF etc.) will run OK on 92 RON
even if the recommended fuel is 95 or even 98. That's why there's no hp
difference between US and European MC.
