82 5K outer door handle clips

Hi list

Outside door handle clips, where the link rod snaps into the door
handle.......anyone have a good source(s) for these clips?
The Audi dealer in Tucson, Az tells me the clips for the early 5K's are no
longer available and not listed on their computer.
They list only one clip for all Audi's with that type of link rod
connection.....that clip is too small in diameter for the hole in the door
handle.......think it will pass thru the hole!
