Eurolights - 100Q

Graydon,

I have the headlights aimed straight ahead, to converge in the distance, not
accurate as the inspectors always require that the headlights be adjusted.

I have swapped the relays, no difference. There is plenty of juce going to
thes lights, as I am using 10 and 12 Guage wireing with distances shorter
than 6'

The same + feed and ground return is being used for both high and low beams.

The lows are brighter than the auxiliarry marker lights I hooked up to run
when the park/running lights are turned on, but they are much dimmer than
the highs. Very strange.

It would seem to be the bulb brightness. Both sides act the same way. I
could drive with this low intensity, but it seems rather low, as the distnce
illuminated is only around 100' ahead max.

I'm now wondering if possibly the running light configuration I have may be
canceling out the positive voltage, as I think I used the same return to
ground. That may be the problem. Hmmm.

Ben

Ben,

No, something is definitely wrong. The low beams are ten times brighter
than the stock DOT high beams, and the beam pattern is far better
controlled. You'll see a sharp line across the highway, and then an
angle going up at about 30 degrees toward the sky on the right hand side
of the road.

Is the bulb brightness dull or do you have the headlights aimed
incorrectly? Maybe your relays are shorted and they are delivering low
voltage? It could be also that one of your bulbs burnt out. You can not
touch those with your fingers. If you do, make sure you clean them with
alcohol.

Sincerely,
