Starter does not turn engine when ign/starter switch (sw) is operated.
check connections on solenoid sw, ground straps (no corrosion allowed)
- fully charged batt.
terminal #1 (30) - battery
term. #2 (50) - from ign/starter switch (spade connector)
term. #3 - connection for field windings
no voltage (v) at term. 50 (solenoid sw) - min. 8v (if ok go to ->)
no v or less than 8v?
measure v at terminal 50 of ign/starter sw - min. 8v
no v? replace ign/starter switch.
v okay?
check wiring between term. 50 ign/starter sw and term. 50 on solenoid
-> check v at connection for field windings, term. 3 - min 8v
no v? replace solenoid sw.
v ok? repair starter

I just check v at term. 2 on starter with ign. on. If ok I jump
starter. If it doesn't go I replace starter. Have to take it off
anyway. Now you have a spare you can fool with when you have time.
