Well, actually, I have the "UFO" brakes still as they call them. and no,
it's not as bad as they say. They can be turned, and parts are much
cheaper then they are telling you. Definitely subscribe to the V8 list.
Also, I've heard a lot of negative things of going to the "G60"
conversion. I was told one of the best conversions is to take the strut
from an S6, and get a bracket for it (I forget who makes it, but someone
will know), and then bolt on the brake parts from the Porsche Boxster. I
am staying with the UFO's for now. They work great, and have great
stopping power. Check out BIRA's web page, it might answer some
questions. Remember that most upgrades require that you have a minimum 16"
wheel. That was the beauty of the UFO brakes. Huge braking power that
fits in a smaller wheel.
