... on the V8 the instrument cluster has OBD built in ... check:

... run the test that verifies the function of the fuel gauge ... if the
test fails it is the gauge ... if the test passes it is in the connection to
the sender or the sender itself. One thing that may indeed be true is that
it is a interconnect on the IC itself ...
