gearbox-help needed

    Getting the input shaft into the block is a tight fit.  In my 80 it
takes perfect alignment to go in.  If the trans isn't lined up 100% it just
won't go back up to the block.  Though when it does you'll know it, snaps
right in and then you can easily hand push it right up onto the block, no
force needed.  Other cars have slightly different pilot configurations
though, mine is in the crank end, some have them in the flywheel.   Each
time I had my trans down it took at least 3 hours to get it lined up and on
the block again, real PITA.  Though it's a great feeling when it goes!
