list members - please read this

Just a few quick updates and things I wanted to mention:

- the list is run by automated software.  If you stopped receiving mail,
it is because your account was bouncing mail and you were automatically
unsubscribed.  It's not because you smell.  

- Likewise, if your posts are not making it to the list, it is because you 
are not emailing from the same account you subscribed with.  This is a 
crucial measure for keeping spam off the list - approx 5 messages a day
are attempted spam.  The other 25 messages are people trying to post and
who have not subscribed, followed by 50 messages calling me an idiot for
filtering their posts.

- There is a new search function featured on the main page.  Check it out
and let me know if you like it.  I do.

- The whole site is getting an official makeover in the next couple of
weeks.  Some very cool things are coming, like vastly improved classifieds
and a registry, updated parts vendor and mechanics resource pages,
and the start of some improved, more detailed tech pages.

As always, feedback is welcome.  For those who would like to make contributions
toward keeping the list going, I have set up a paypal account so you can
charge right from your credit card.  Click on the "About" link on the front
page and you'll find all the details.

Thanks to Mark Chang, Mike Murphy, Huw Powell, Steve Bucholz, Brendan, Brett, 
Chris Miller, and my family for their time, efforts, and in the latter,
allowing me to continue to indulge in this hobby.  If I forgot anyone,
I apologize, but it's 2am. :)
