'89 200-"bucking" turbo?

if yer getting enough power, but not showing 1.4 on the display, you could
have a leak in the vacc. line from the manifold to ecu. this is dangerous,
cuz the ecu won't know what the real pressure is and will adjust its
settings accordingly. You may actually be getting full boost, but the air
is leaking out of the vacc. line. Also check the rest of the intake hoses,
vac. lines, etc. for leaks. Yyou might actually have a dead turbo. My car
would only go to .9bar, and the siezed turbo was the cause. This is prolly
not your problem cuz you feel power, but it's a possibiltity. Check the
turbo by removing the front hose and trying to spin the blades. They should
turn freely. If not, there's a problem. There could be many more issues,
but make start w/ basics, like fuel filter, leak checks, turbo check...good
luck.
