Mounting idea for CD players, amps, etc.....

I just put an amp into my '95 90Q and was really on the fence about where/how to
mount it. I needed to put it somewhere, but I wasn't sure where and I didn't want
to do any irreparable damage to the car. So I got to thinking..........and then it
come to me.......it come to me like a FLASH, like a VISION BURNT ACROSS THE
CLOUDS!!!............
VELCRO.
I remembered that I had some of this industrial strength velcro whose origin remains
a mystery. This is the strongest velcro I've ever come across, but, as strong as it
is, the adhesive backing on it is somehow even stronger. So I fashioned a metal
plate to attach to the amp's via the mounting screws and give the velcro a nice flat
surface, slapped on the velcro, and voila.....an instant, secure, removable,
relocatable mounting solution. No drilling, no screws, no damage. I used only the
rough side of the velcro and it sticks like nobody's business to any carpeted
surface in the car. The stuff is so strong that it literally takes all of my might
to pry it off (without tools) and it's been in place for several months on the back
of the rear seat now without even a thought of coming off. As far as I'm concerned,
it's the only way to go.
