should I get ESP?

I drove ESP equipped A4q in Austria this past January at the Audi Winter
Driving Experience. It was UNREAL how well these cars handled on ice and
snow with ESP on. It allows you to basically go anywhere, but in control. No
understeering around a bend, just a perfect turn.
BUT, I don't think ESP can be _TOTALLY_ switched off. I think it will kick
back in under "extreme circumstances" (the cars Audi used had maual override
switches installed to defeat this "help"). So, if you track your TT, I don't
think ESP will help you, as it brakes and backs the engine RPMs off (I
think). But if you get a lot of snow and ice, and don't track the car, it's
a good thing.
