great group!
Anyone have any idea what one should pay for a good
used/rebuilt diff?
As per the bearings:  I only checked one local auto
parts store (not a big chain) and they wanted $60
each.  Guess I should have shopped around.  I haven't
looked too closely yet, but shouldn't it be pretty
easy to take the whole hub from a junkyard car
(providing the bearing is good)?  If I could get them
for $30 each and the machine work is not too much more
then I might go that way.  I think I am looking at
about $7 each for the hubs from the local pick-n-pull
v. almost $100/wheel for the bearing, tax, pressing,
etc...  whew!  I'd rather save the money for a turbo
conversion!
