I'm doing this today on the V8 - with the proper tools its about 15 minutes
per side. The key is to prevent the center of the strut from turning while
you are trying to break torque on the top nut - rotation of more than about
20 degrees will rip the rubber strut bushing. I use a big pipe wrench to
hold the dished washer while I break torque. Remove the three bolts holding
the strut bushing and remove it. Remove the cap on the strut and take the
cartridge out.
