Tire fitment on 4kq

Hello all,
 Due to the unexpected acquisition of a nail on the interstate today, I'm
looking to replace a tire. But since the tires on the car are NLA, I'm really
looking for 4 new tires. Bleah.

 However, I recently sold a car that I had a spare, near new set of RE71s
for in 205/60R15(I hadn't been planning to get rid of that car either, but
the US importation of the S4 Avant has made me suddenly stupid). I've been 
running 205/50R15s on the 4000 on 15x6 rims without a problem. But I'm 
thinking that extra depth on the profile is probably going to put me over 
the top. Has anyone tried to cram 205/60R15s under the wheelwells of an '86
4000 Quattro? If so, did they fit? Any handling issues?
