reliability of the V8?

i saw a '90 V8 for sale locally, pearl white, grey leather barcas, auto, 80k 
mi, generally nice shape $6000 obo.  what are the trouble spots for the V8's? 
 is $6k a decent price for a '90 w/ 80k?  are parts harder to find/more 
expensive than the 5K/ 200's?  ive always liked the way the V8's looked but 
dont want to get into a money pit if can be helped..

any advice/warnings from V8 owners would be appreciated-
