Tailgate/ cargo light issues...

Yeah, Jim I considered that possibility.  My old '80
5k had a mercury switch for the mirror lights on the
passenger side visor.  I'm gonna more closely inspect
the two latch hooks on the floor, as others have
suggested - they did look suspiciously like they might
have a switch somehow last time I looked.
