Some special tool.
Ask to speak to the service manager when you call. Inquire as to why
the car thinks it hasn't had its 30,000 mile servicing, and inquire
as to what else wasn't done that should have been.
Don't expect someone to come out and get the car, but do expect(or at
least ask for) something for the trouble, like a free oil change or
something.
When the little card comes from AoA asking how the servicing went(I
assume AoA does this, most car companies do now)...write it in.
"Dealer forgot to reset service interval, had to take the car back a
second time at great inconvenience."
If the dealer "made things right again", put that in too and note
your satisfaction level appropriately. It shows to AoA that yes,
the dealer screwed up, but gee, look at that, their service manager
did a great job making you a happy customer again, gee whiz, he/she
must be doing something right.
