It is a very simple mod, just take the time to remove the circuit board from
the case. I had to do it with only the cover of and it was a bit tight...

I did the diode hack instead, I wasn't aware of the resistor mod then and I
am not really sure how it works yet. I was before this thread started but
this thread only mentions one resistor... Well, nuff said.


Diode hack:


I have it pretty clear before my eyes here. The signal pin and the ground
pin of the daughter board are the only ones affected. Unfortunally I don't
know which one carries the signal. You will have to check that when you
drive the car.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO IDENTIFY THESE PINS DON'T EVEN THINK OF DOING THIS
MOD! DON'T THINK OF DOING IT WITHOUT A GOOD AFTERMARKET BOOST GAUGE EITHER!
Sorry for yelling, but IS THAT CLEAR?

Cut the signal pin, replace it with a 470ohm resistor, on the motherboard
side of the resistor solder the 4.7v zener diode to the ground pin. The
circle around the diode (if any) should be towards the resistor.

This mod totally removes the fuel cut and thats all it does. It does not
affect the ignition timing at low boost. The ecu will not see boost higher
then 0.7-0.8 bar gauge pressure (not the dash display!!!).

The resistor mod only has a suitable resistor instead of the diode, the
lower resistance the higher the boost without fuel cut...
