slightly off-topic electrical Q

I say this is off-topic because it's not on an Audi, but since A lot
of folks here have worked with euro headlights, I thought I could
find some help. Anyway..... A friend of mine is installing a set
of euro-spec lights in his car and has hit a snag. The side
marker/turn signals in the new lights are a single, one filament
bulb. It's designed to operate as a park lamp on 6 volts, and a turn
signal at 12. We need to figure out a way to duplicate this function
using the car's 12 Volt only system. What do we need to make it
work, voltage regulators, resistors, a 6 ounce bar of unobtainium? I
could probably figure something out if I had time, but we're on a bit
of a schedule.

Looking for enlightenment

Calvin K.
