Is Jetta 1.8t the same engine as the A4 1.8t?

Hi,

    I would like to know if the engine in the 2000 Jetta 1.8t is the same as 
the Audi A4 1.8t? If so would all the mods available for the A4 1.8t work 
with the Golf 1.8t?
