Is Jetta 1.8t the same engine as the A4 1.8t?

The engine is the same in the passat, jetta, golf, beetle,  tt, and A4.  There
are a few differences in them, like they boosted the hp in the tt, and don't
quote me, but I believe the passat sits front to rear, and the jetta and golf
(for a fact) sit side to side.  You can modify the jetta and golf much the same
way.  They are however set up with drive by wire (at least the bug is, and I
forget now if they are in the jetta and golf or not).  If you want more info,
check out European car.  Adding a chip gets you about 45 more hp, and a chip,
exhaust, and filter, will push you from 150, to about 250hp.
