Dino,

Sorry for the very delayed reply, but I am way behind in reading the Q-list 
Digests (obviously).

For my late '98 A4, the message clearing procedure is described in the 
Owners Manual.  It's not quite as simple to do as on your older Honda, but 
certainly not difficult ;-)  So, unless your 98 is a very early one, where 
I believe the Dealer has to perform the procedure, you can reset the display.
