hints on pressing out bushings?

If there is a well service supply store in your neighborhood, they'll have 
double-strength pipe materials.  They frequently cut to order off 20-foot 
lengths, and might have scraps.  Or they might have the names of well 
service outfits that would sell/give you scraps.

You also can get various wall thicknesses of tubing from steel supply 
companies.
