hints on pressing out bushings?

Nope, Large Frame, Red Color, from Eagle Equipment co.  The press plates are
really high quality.  I've heard others having complaints about cracking
press plates so I bought this one instead.

Yeah, it certainly seems (as you and Orin pointed out) that a nice BIG
socket (just the right size BIG that is) underneath the piece to "cup" the
bushing works well.  I have a socket that is ALMOST big enough to do the
subframes but I'll probably call up Huw and see if he'll let me abuse some
of his sockets ;-)

I tried using a pipe segment but I just crushed it in short order..
Solution?  Perhaps a bigger pipe :-)

Or get somebody else to help you hold the pieces.  A nice work support is
nice though.

Right.. I'm definately a newbie at this so I'm sure it will take some time
to get used to it.  Just like when I first starting using my welder.. took
me a while to get the bead right but eventually with practice you get good
at it.
