cooling system overhaul

It started with the heater core going out.  I`m putting in a new heater 
core, all new hoses(radiator and heater hoses), thermostat(old one was in 
three pieces), and I have the radiators out to be tested and cleaned.  I was 
wondering if there is anything else that I might service while things are 
all apart.  The water pump is only a few months old.  Any suggestions ?
