New aux water pump source?

Hi all,
On my recent treasure hunt at the local pick and pull, I was walking past a
mid eighties Mercedes 450SEL when I saw what looked to be an auxiliary
water pump plumbed into the heater circuit. The pump was vertically
mounted at the junction of the right fender and firewall. The pump is all
metal including the hose nipples. The diameter of the hose is smaller,
more like the small portion of the normal water cooled turbo hoses before
it swells up to fit the Bosch aux water pump. It looked to be in good
condition so I bought it and applied power to it and it works just
fine. With the proper adapters it could be a nice emergency backup for
the Bosch pump or maybe a circulation pump for a water to air intercooler
setup. Also it was a lot cheaper than the $129 Bosch pump.
Regards,
-Tony
