Rich,
  I am no expert, but I do sell some of the equipment.  A really good
spray gun (DeVilbiss) will cost around $500, and a compressor, line
drier, and accessories will cost about another $1000 to get the right
stuff.  Now, we didn't even get to the oven.  I suppose it is more
facility than experience or equipment.  You need a dust free atmosphere,
and a perfect temperature.
