Hi JCS!

Well, I wouldn't want to mess with any of these (except perhaps the
Prowler?) on straight line acceleration.
And the Corvette is surely a threat in the corner, too. Always implying
that you take the high-performance engines.
And even if you are right (what you probably are, as I have not had too
many traffic light races against high perfomance US cars here in Germany
_and_ I don't drive any of the German cars you mentioned ;), considering
bang for the buck, the US cars would "win". Yeah, worse quality and
stuff.

But I don't believe that German cars are always heavier than US ones?!
Really depends on specific car and extras, doesn't it?
And when it comes to features and power gizmos, I think, noone beats the
US guys, right?
(Well some Japanese trying to built a Nintendo powered Supra perhaps...
;)
(No offense meant!)

German specs:
Camaro Z28: 212kw, 0 to 100km/h (about 62mph) in 5.5 ; topspeed: 254km/h
(159 mph), 1644kg
Corvette: 253kW, 5.2 sec, 281km/h (176mph), 1538kg
BMW M5: 294kW, 5.3 sec, 250km/h (156mph) shut-off, 1795kg
RS4: 280kW, 4.9 sec, 250km/h (156mph) shut-off, 1620kg
Sport quattro: 225kW, 4.9 sec, 250km/h (156mph) no shut-off, 1300kg

My list:
Sport quattro, Corvette, RS4, M5, Z28; in that order.

A Chevy Impala SS is surely a full size car with loads of bang for the
buck.
Sad, that Chevy took it off the list :(

?? No Multitronic with quattro so far and the S6 has -- even with that
little horsepower it has now (haha ;) -- more torque than the
Multitronic can handle so far.
Nevertheless, start saving for the RS6 with Biturbo V8. (Might come,
rumours are high, perhaps an RS8 will come too/earlier?)
