No dash lights !! Help!!!

There are two possibilities that I can think of.  One, check the rear
license plate light bulbs.  If bad, replace them.  That might fix your
problem.  And no, I am not kidding.  The other is a little more serious.
The circuit panel that controls dash lighting is probably bad.  If this is
the case, I bet the cruise control on the car does not work too.

Hi All 
I have a friend that has a 91 200 20v that is having a problem with the dash
lights, here's the senario....When you turn on the headlights, all the
instrument cluster/center console lights go out. The turn signal lights
somewhat glow and when the turn signal is engaged the turn signal lights
alternate flashing. The headlights and turnsignals work just fine, but this
problem makes it a little difficult to drive at night.  Its the wierdest
thing I've ever seen and dont't have a clue where to start. I really
appreciate any help on this.
