As far as I know, that company in Calif is still in the crash test
stages of the licencing. They still have the earlier models available for
more then they're worth, but the new one isn't supposed to be imported by
nissan for another couple of years if at all.
Supposedly it has more then the rated 279 horse because of Japanese
law stating that more then that is illegal on their roads. Nissan and other
companies have rated them at 279 so they can be legalized but the cars
should be rated closer to 300 to 350 stock (So I hear anyway).
The AWD system on it is actually inactive until the main drive tires
(rear) lose traction, then the front gets power only after the rear loses
grip.
Other added bonus: 4 wheel steering, not sure if it's active like
the early 90's Preludes, or passive like the new Protege's.
