I doubt that you will get the WRX, the WRX is almost only available in
Japan. I have heard that the same car that we have here will be sold in the
US with WRX badges. If that is the case you should know that that all cars
sold outside Japan have porcelain engines. Try to raise the boost and you
will have the best reason to rebuild the engine with WRX or better
internals. You can get around 280-300hp with the stock internals but then
you will be on the edge then. A stock WRX usually put out 300+ hp on the
drive wheels! The factory figure is 280hp at the crank!
The Mitsubishi EVO VI is a car that has the same performance as the UrWRX ;)
but the Mitsubishi will handle mods and mistakes better. You know that
mechanics tend to be put off by different engines like the I5, it is even
worse with the subaru. You will have no problems finding a mechanic that has
tons of experience with modified mitsubishi turbos... The stock EVO V is in
par with the power output of the UrWRX. I don't know about the EVO VI but I
have heard rumors that the non JDM cars have far less power.
